“Sexton is a former CIA intelligence officer-turned-conservative commentator”
So they’re replacing Rush with a disinformation agent, is what it sounds like to me.
Anybody know anything about these guys? If they start attacking Trump or propping up McConnell it’ll be bad.
The guest guides , along with Katherine Limbaugh and James Golden , having been doing a great job of keeping Rush’s wisdom alive, relevant , and pointed towards evolving events with the dipshit Biden collective travesty & disaster. I willyotally miss the Limbaugh show,as it has continued since he passed.
Imo, what needed to happen was this 2 months ago.
Sorry, but old content regardless of the memories is, we’ll... old.
It can be brought up, but a show has to have a living host.
>>’And I think intense and rigorous and intelligent debate has never been more important in this country than it is right now.’
IS there anyone on the Left who can engage in honest, rigorous, and intelligent debate?
Rush Limbaugh didn’t need to provide “equal time” he WAS equal time to the media.
Oh Lordy. Now I have to wonder what our radio station will do now.
It’s apparent they gave up on their Rush slot and put one of our locals in there.
But for a couple years we’ve had Sexton in the evening (still don’t know why I’m supposed to know him....they pushed Levin to late slot for this guy).
So, will Sexton have no solo show, and station has to re-shuffle again? Or does Sexton get 2 shows? Aarrggh!
Dan Bongino just isn’t cutting it for me. Hope these two are better. I only listen to Chris Plante and Mark Levin lately.
The answer to the question of who can replace Rush is nobody.
I hear Sexton in the evening sometimes and he’s fair.
I thought the slot had already been determined - Don Bongino. This could be an effort by the Never-Trumpers and/or the Commies to undermine the slot. I don’t know the creds. of those named. I do know Bongino is solid as a rock. People have to realize, no one will be up to Rush’s standards.
Clay is a “conservative” “sports” guy?
What does that mean?
No sale x 2!
Never heard of them.
Interesting comment in the article...
“The re-cut Limbaugh shows were pulling in about 75% to 80% of its regular audience, the Journal reported.”
Those are amazing numbers when you think about the fact that the shows are essentially re-run comments pulled and curated to fit today’s news. I would suspect that 75-85 percent of the Rush Limbaugh Show numbers when he was alive are still higher numbers than these two guys will ever pull, or Dan Bongino will ever pull...or any other person could ever pull.
I would milk that for as long as those numbers are that high.
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton a pickin and a grinnin.
Sounds more like a country singing duo.
He is the only one on my radar that could remotely be good enough for the slot.
Frankly I don't think he'd take it, he has the contract he wants, his family, he likes where he lives, etc etc.
And I can get on the show :-), he goes national I can't...
Rush was a DJ, turned conservative commentator. He was an entertainer who was conservative.
NO! All they need to do is play Rush’s programs with selected past news/thoughts.!
The market will decide whether these 2 are a hit or not.
