I am so happy to read this article. I admire and respect all who proceed to admit their values of telling the truth, searching for the truth and then acting on the result. I really admire Rand Paul and all of us who support him.
Gain of Function was and is a travesty on our value as humans and Fauci should be hung by the neck until dead.

Rand basically nailed that little gnome to the wall with his gain of function line of questioning on Tuesday, May 11. By Thursday, May 13, the CDC was dropping the mask mandate "for the vaccinated" but no requirement to check papers. Next thing you know it, East Germans are standing on the wall and crossing Checkpoint Charlie.

Agree, Dr. Rand Paul is an America hero. He spit on their plans to keep Americans appearing as serfs in masks.

I don’t understand the importance of China’s role in the covid virus unless they created and used it as a weapon.
I think the purpose gain-of-function research is to develop organisms that are of greater benefit to us, not to harm us.

Having a virus "gain" a function where it can jump from one type of animal to another is not going to benefit anyone. Thankfully it doesn't work very well, see my tagline.

Maybe gain-of-function research includes more than viruses. I said “organisms”. My overriding thought is that gain-of-function research, which is done in many laboratories around the world, is done to improve life, not to harm it.
What is a climax forest?
The purpose is to see if they can make the virus even more deadly, that is why they needed a Level 4 lab. When it was out-lawed they moved their operation to China who has no restrictions on that kind of research.
What they do in "gain of function" is they take a virus out of one animal, where it belongs - because our bodies make viruses - and they place it in another animal to see what kind of reaction this added virus will do to the second animal. If they can see that this coronavirus from a bat, where it belongs, can cause a respiratory response to their liking, then it is considered a success and they have "gained function."
Their prime goal was to see if they could duplicate the 1918 Flu. This is bad research.
Plus, it was a bad week for Bidet...the Colonial pipeline was a problem as well. The lifting of the mandate was a classic diversionary tactic. And it sort of worked....that sucked up all the news oxygen.
...except that Fauci failed to realize that the right would keep hating him for his 14months of chicanery and wouldn't let up on the GOF revelation, and the left (who loved this gnome) suddenly detested his removal of their virtue-signaling.
So now he's a man without a supporter. I wouldn't be surprised if Bidet et al throw him under the bus/make him the fall-guy.

There must be a justification for doing this potentially dangerous experimentation.
I say so what. Who is going to monitor the NIH to make sure this doesn’t happen. There were already supposed checks and balances that were ignored. They’ll just give taxpayer dollars to a third party who will then funnel the funds to whatever research they want done despite what the law says. When you have corrupt people like Faucci, they are going to do what they want. Nice gesture, but meaningless in my opinion.
Can’t we just savour this victory? The next step is an independent investigation
The Georgia Guidestones, which are followed closely by the likes of Gates and his ilk, want the population of the world to become a sustainable 500 million. The only way to do that is to figure out a way to get rid of the other 7 or so billion.

I am not making this up.
This so-called vaccine was planned way before the covid so-called "pandemic." They planned it to co-inside with the regular cold and flu season. They had everything ready on day one to maximize the media and all influential personal. Just so happened that they were able to use every part of the pandemic to mess up our election too.
We are actually fortunate that their planned disease was not as deadly as they had hoped.
