A Sonoma County man who was fully vaccinated against the coronavirus died of complications from COVID-19 last week, marking the first county resident who was inoculated to die from the disease, county officials said.
The county reported the death, the first since April, late Monday, bringing the local coronavirus death toll to 315.

People die EVERY day from accidents(unintentional/dumb choices), suicides, murders/homicides natural deaths. And a multitude of illnesses/diseases, such as... allergic reactions, septic, co-morbidity, dehydration, drug/beer/water overdoses, organ failures(lung, kidney/heart/liver/pancreas; cancers, embolisms, blood clots, pathogens spread in wild and through most any contagion venue, influenza and the common cold. Just to name a few.

But the nation wasn’t locked down and civil liberties stripped due to those other things.

They will change the subject or mention pre-existing conditions was the cause while ignoring the fact that most who died from covid had 2 or more pre-existing conditions when they died.
1) Deaths were in decline starting December, before any appreciable number of people had been vaccinated and, indeed, 0 were fully vaccinated. The slope of that decline didn’t change for months.
2) That curve, and slope, looks a lot like last year before any vaccines existed.
3) The CDC issued an edict that defines how many PCR cycles will declare an infection for vaccinated people. That cycle count is not the same as for unvaccinated people. It will be increasingly difficult to declare an infection in vaccinated people, for reasons having nothing to do with vaccine effectiveness. At least until the India variant arrives.
4) Last year the bottom of the decline was late June. Then a small surge in deaths began early July, mostly from LEGAL immigrants on tourist visas fleeing the Covid situation in Mexico. They were not illegals. They were tourists who went to the hospital ASAP.
5) Heat drives people indoors to air conditioning. Expect an uptick in deaths soon.
