Now, sellers like Henriquez, who spent the past year investing more than $150,000 in her mask business, are trying to figure out how to successfully pivot.

Shift the mask to the butthole, filtering out smells everyone would normally have to breathe.

Easy peasy. Apply for a PPP loan or (if it was an above board business with rates and all) lay yourself off and get unemployment.

“investing more than $150,000 in her mask business”

Did she ‘invest’ or get a SBA loan and the taxpayers are stuck with the bill?

Imagine the horror stores we’d be hearing if Buggy Whip makers were selling on Etsy in 1900...

A friend of mine was making memory blankets for several years. She shifted to making custom masks. Now she is shifting back to memory blankets.

Market conditions change, so you must change.

stuff happens.

Come up with something equally as simple and cheap to make and do it. It wasn’t going to last forever.

And there will likely be a winter spike with COVID-19 and a new variant. And new booster vax. And new worries by those prone to worry. All that to say that there will probably be an increase in mask sales again when that happens. Nothing like last year, but hey, maybe enough to get through the existing inventory.
