Tennessee bans teaching critical race theory in schools

Tennessee is the latest state to ban teachers from teaching certain concepts of race and racism in public schools, where teachers risk losing valuable state funding if they violate the new measure.

Republican Gov. Bill Lee signed a measure into law Monday after it attracted some of the most impassioned debates inside the GOP-controlled General Assembly this year. He signaled his support after it cleared the Legislature, arguing that students should learn “the exceptionalism of our nation,” not things that “inherently divide” people.

“We need to make sure that our kids recognize that this country is moving toward a more perfect union, that we should teach the exceptionalism of our nation and how people can live together and work together to make a greater nation, and to not teach things that inherently divide or pit either Americans against Americans or people groups against people groups,” Lee told reporters at the time.

The legislation, which was amended several times in the final days of the legislative session, takes effect July 1. Among other things, Tennessee’s teachers can’t instruct that “an individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, is inherently privileged, racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or subconsciously.” …

I just moved from Caliornia to Knoxville a month ago. I have not been this happy in 40 some years. I love Tennessee. First Constitutional Carry and now this.

I love Tennessee and can’t wait to add my conservative votes to help protect her from flipping blue. Californians are basically invading Tennessee right now. I pray the majority are Conservatives so we can help save Tennessee from flipping blue, they want Virginia went from GOP supermajority to DemocRATS everywhere.

People said, “stay in California and fight”. No. Wrong. Leave California. If you are conservative and leave California, it won’t be any more liberal. Those electoral votes are going to the Democrat whether you are there are not. Every conservative Californian who leaves and goes to a red or purple state adds his conservative votes to save or rescue those states.

It is my dream that every conservative California leaves and comes save a red state or rescue a purple state. You are doing no good in California where your vote is wasted.

On top of that, you can return to the free USA in a state like Tennessee, instead of living behind the Pink Curtain of the PRC - People’s Republic of California.

Way to go, Tennessee. Critical Race Theory is flat evil.
