And the really good news is I do not think we will ever go back. Enough people realize how useless the masking and lockdowns were that they won’t comply again even if decreed

Maybe some anti-vax trolls are Russian bots

BS.

I am an ex-vaxxer, and get all my info from non-Russian sources. And I have done so for 16 years.

You're playing the never-Trumper narrative now.

Yet the anti-vaxxers are so quick to accuse us of being paid shills/bots/etc.

Yet the anti-vaxxers are so quick to accuse us of being paid shills/bots/etc.

What's pitiful is that even after PDJT was hounded by these same MSM outfits over the "Russia! Russia! Russia!" hoax, you people are sourcing the same media outlets to go after ex-vaxxers and anti-vaxxers who were (and are) some of PDJT's most ardent supporters.

A more interesting question might be: are some of FR's most ardent cv19vx pushers actually never-Trumpers or even Chicom agents? The entire MSM is aligned provax. The top of the Dem ticket says the vax is mandatory to open up. It is conservative R's who are for freedom, and against the scamdemic narrative.

These numbers are proof the anti-vaxxers have lost the argument.

Not so because there are other valid explanations for why the case rates and death rates are down.

Here's a book you need to read.

Oh, BS! Have you forgotten that Trump was the driving force behind developing these vaccines? Don’t you remember Warp Speed?

Just like all conspiracy theories, this one collapses when one considers how many would have to be complicit.

Yeah, well does the 2020 presidential election tell you anything?

How many people would have to be complicit for that kind of election fraud to occur and yet, it has.

Perhaps, but the most logical reason for those decreases is the vaccines.

I’ve read many similar and it appears the anti-vaxxers have made it their bible.

Perhaps, but the most logical reason for those decreases is the vaccines.

Nonsense.

After almost two years, it's just burning itself out as the Spanish Flu and other viruses have on their own. WITHOUT vaccines.

Your wanting it to be the vaccine that accounts for the decrease in cases, hospitalization, and death rates doesn't make it so.

Besides, when the CDC runs the PCR test for a lower number of cycles for vaccinated vs unvaccinated, of course there are going to be fewer positive cases.

It doesn't mean there are because if you decrease the test sensitivity it won't pick up the cases the higher sensitivity would. Fudging the numbers to make it look like cases and deaths are decreasing is just downright deceitful.

Additionally, the weather is nicer and more people are outside. Last year also showed a decrease in cases for the same time period coinciding with the with the onset of summer.

And the case decrease in May was WITHOUT a *vaccine*.

The vaccines are working. We have seen a dramatic shift in the hospitalized population from the elderly to younger unvaccinated people who yes still get sick. Those that think they are bullet proof sometimes find out they are not. now it is much rarer to see those over 65 in the hospital and the ones we are seeing are the ones who did not get vaccinated

“the case decrease in May was WITHOUT a *vaccine*.”

What do you mean by that?

Vaccination rates were very high by May in the USA.

Oh, disregard my last comment (#33).

I see that you were referring to May 2020.

Once we got enough folks vaccinated in the USA to start tipping the replication rates over into an increasing herd immunity effect (April 2021), that’s when the vaccine effect becomes apparent in overall case numbers (hospitalizations and deaths).

We are there now. Enough are now vaccinated to suppress disease growth, and that suppressive effect will only continue to strengthen, as more are vaccinated, pushing the disease down even more.

Well by May of this year (2021), we had over a quarter of a billion doses of effective vaccine administered to Americans.

That is a strong effect. It now overwhelms the amount of immunity developing through natural exposure. We get about 25K new cases confirmed per day, and maybe twice as many undetected/unreported. A half million to a million new first shots are given per day.

Just looking at first shots to adults, we have already passed the 60% Herd Immunity threshold calculated for the original strain (based on its replication rate 1 - 1/Ro), without even including naturally acquired immunity or cross immunity.

The vaccines have achieved dominating levels in the population. Game over. The War is won. The rest is just cleanup.

You're dancing around the fact that at this time last year we saw a large drop off in cases.

So a drop off in cases at this time of year would not be unexpected and cannot be attributed solely to vaccination.Additionally many more people by now have had the disease and are naturally immune.

Again, for the reading impaired, there are plenty of other valid reasons why the case, hospitalizations and deaths have dropped off in the last month or so.

Remember, correlation does not mean causation.

Just because you want the vaccine to be responsible for the natural drop off in spring, doesn't mean that it is.

I am not dancing around, I will state this as a blunt fact.

Vaccination has achieved Herd Immunity Threshold.

It takes a critical mass of vaccination (and/or natural immunity) to decisively reduce case numbers, hospitalizations and deaths.

Eventually, at the cost of many more dead and disabled, letting the infection burn through the population would have gotten us here as well (but not as quickly).

Delude yourself all you want (sour grapes) that vaccines did not work, but the data is overwhelming and inescapable to any informed and objective observer (such as every responsible regulatory agency on Earth).

We have passed the tipping point for the disease, just as calculated by the replication rate of the virus, the effectiveness of the vaccine and the number of people vaccinated - just as have other Nations, and their many sub-populations (like age groups) as they were vaccinated - and just as we have with other vaccines against other diseases in the past.

If your theory is correct, we are in for another wave. If the scientific community is correct, COVID is heading down to low background rates, overwhelmingly among the unvaccinated.

We are opening backup Nationwide because the numbers are there, and all the pros know it.
