Perhaps, but the most logical reason for those decreases is the vaccines.

I’ve read many similar and it appears the anti-vaxxers have made it their bible.
Nonsense.
After almost two years, it's just burning itself out as the Spanish Flu and other viruses have on their own. WITHOUT vaccines.
Your wanting it to be the vaccine that accounts for the decrease in cases, hospitalization, and death rates doesn't make it so.
Besides, when the CDC runs the PCR test for a lower number of cycles for vaccinated vs unvaccinated, of course there are going to be fewer positive cases.
It doesn't mean there are because if you decrease the test sensitivity it won't pick up the cases the higher sensitivity would. Fudging the numbers to make it look like cases and deaths are decreasing is just downright deceitful.
Additionally, the weather is nicer and more people are outside. Last year also showed a decrease in cases for the same time period coinciding with the with the onset of summer.

The vaccines are working. We have seen a dramatic shift in the hospitalized population from the elderly to younger unvaccinated people who yes still get sick. Those that think they are bullet proof sometimes find out they are not. now it is much rarer to see those over 65 in the hospital and the ones we are seeing are the ones who did not get vaccinated
