358 Deaths (Downward trend may be accelerating). Yesterday's reported Deaths (220) have been adjusted down to 179 - an exceptionally low number, not seen since COVID-19 was just beginning to be tracked/reported, in March of 2020 (back when testing was still mostly unavailable).

What about COVID recovered people? Is there any data on that?
These numbers are proof the anti-vaxxers have lost the argument.
Given what we know about other numbers, how can anyone consider these proof of anything?!

They just released that (vaccine) breakthrough report today (25 May), but if I recall correctly, there were several reports from other sources in past months, that confirmed very strong protection from re-infection, among those who had had COVID. Also, when they did happen to contract a second case, the severity and mortality were very much lower, on average.

There were several hypotheses proposed against the vaccines, that were intellectually valid concerns to raise, when the outcomes were unknown.
But as you say, the data is now in, and it overwhelmingly refutes those hypotheses.
Its time to accept the good news. Effective vaccines are stamping out the disease, just as designed, just as predicted.

It indicates that immunity is long lasting after natural COVID-19 infections with mild symptoms. Other studies have indicated that more severe symptoms elicited even greater immunity, on average.
I can’t vouch for the CDC data, but I do personally know one person who recovered and then got it a 2nd time. In her case the second time was far milder than the first.
Moderna reports that its vaccine is safe and effective for those 12-17, and it intends to seek FDA authorization next month (June 2021).

Just like all conspiracy theories, this one collapses when one considers how many would have to be complicit. You’ve essentially claimed that all state and county health department have to be falsifying the numbers. Do you really believe that hundreds of thousands of state and county employees would be all complicit with not one whistle blower?
TexasGurl24 responded in post #11 with links on long lasting immunity from naturally acquired COVID infections (one is about the same Nature article).
Circulating antibodies decline markedly in the month or two after an acute infection subsides. How long immunity persists then depends a lot on how strongly B-cell and T-cell memory were stimulated. Apparently, natural COVID-19 infections seem good at that, and severe cases even better.
That is also a major objective of vaccines, and a major driver for why many vaccines are given in a series of multiple shots.

But still the anti-vaxxers dispute these facts. They’d rather believe that hundreds of thousands of health care professionals are all complicit in a grand conspiracy to inflate the profits of the pharma companies and depopulate the world.

Maybe some anti-vax trolls are Russian bots, or paid agents of influence. Apparently, Russian State Security (the old KGB) has also been running an anti-vaccine disinfo-op (they have a competing product, and general perceptions of national competence/strength are now focused on COVID).

And for that we can be thankful. Those that have had a confirmed case probably do not need to be vaccinated but definitely play into the growing herd immunity. It is refreshing to see the optimism all around as masks and social distancing recede
