It indicates that immunity is long lasting after natural COVID-19 infections with mild symptoms. Other studies have indicated that more severe symptoms elicited even greater immunity, on average.

And for that we can be thankful. Those that have had a confirmed case probably do not need to be vaccinated but definitely play into the growing herd immunity. It is refreshing to see the optimism all around as masks and social distancing recede
