The first man in the world to receive a Covid-19 vaccination has died, aged 81. Bill Shakespeare was only the second person in the world to get the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine in December at University Hospital Coventry.
Coventry councillor Jayne Innes said that Mr Shakespeare had died and said the “best tribute to Bill is to have the jab”. In a Facebook post, she added: “Bill will be remembered for many things, including a taste for mischief.”
West Midlands Labour group said on Twitter: “Bill made global headlines as the first man to have Covid vaccine. “His decades of service to the party were recently recognised by Keir Starmer.
“Our thoughts are with Joy and Bill’s family and friends.”
Mr Shakespeare leaves his wife Joy, their two adult sons and grandchildren.

“First man to get the vaccine, was second?
Huh?”
Kind of like a participation trophy, You may not be first but you’re still a winner.
I guess we now know the question of “to be or not to be.”
The article you found could be a cover story to hide fact that Margaret died the day she got the shot. She was probably the first clot victim and they didn't want to discourage folks from getting the vaccine.
Chick in your article looks more like 70s than 91.
Below is link to Dec 8 2020 obituary for Margaret Keenan.

>> no mention of what he died from
no kidding... at least no obvious mention given most every death up until the vax was COVID related.
Yeh folks get that jab! 😆
Yeah, seemed like it.
I think folks made a valid argument that a woman was the first
and I should have known that.
Yeah, that’s along the lines of how it struck me also.
Some folks pointed out that a woman got the first shot and I
should have figured that out.
I think they have a point.
