Celebrating National Donut Day.
To mark National Donut Day this year, frozen pizza specialist DiGiorno has created a mashup between pizza and donut.
Dubbed “DiGiornuts,” the spin on the traditional pie takes on the shape of the circular sweet treat. Each DiGiornuts is filled with mozzarella cheese and topped with signature DiGiorno sauce, along with even more cheese and toppings.
“At DiGiorno we like to push the boundaries of what’s possible for pizza, and the DiGiornut is something we’ve been dreaming about for a while,” said DiGiorno’s brand manager Kimberly Holowiak. “At the same time, we’ve seen out-of-the-box thinking from our fans on social media – connecting pizza with donuts. So we thought, why not have some fun and make this mashup a reality to celebrate National Donut Day.”
DiGiorno’s DiGiornut will be available exclusively via Twitter sweepstakes on National Donut Day (June 4), lucky fans stateside will receive a half-dozen box of the savory treat.

I tried their rising crust pizza for the first time last week. Not bad...cheap enough and very convenient.
Pizza with a donut crust for dessert. Pretty smart. Lotsa crust usually gets thrown out.
Mozzarella, sauce and pepperoni sprinkles.
I had to check if this was from the Babylon Bee!
It doesn’t sound appetizing to me.
Yeah, I’ve heard of this, it’s called a pizza bagel, but with a side of syrup.
Maybe if I ever need an emetic...
🤮
Needs more pineapple
Or slice a bagel in half and apply sauce.
I’d try it..... I’ll eat anything.....
Except Lima Beans..... I draw the line at Lima Beans...
That sounds pretty tasty. Might have to try this.

Americans make them with confectioner's sugar, but I had them as street food in Naples rolled in table sugar.
Used to go to the San Gennaro’s Feast in Little Italy in lower Manhattan. The zeppole abounded...
BTW, I found out that Mama Cozzi’s Pizza at Aldis is the same as DiGiorno but a lot CHEAPER.
Loved that festival—before Cuomo and Kaiser Wilhelm ruined NYC for the time being. Smells of the outdoor cooking would stay in my active recollections for days afterward. I have lots of food-related kitchen decor items bought at the festival. The Catholic service where they bless the statue of Mary before parading it along the street is very beautiful. There is also a tiny storefront Orthodox church up Mulberry street that is open to tourists during the festival. Lovely.
Sadly, my favorite Neapolitan/Sicilian restaurant along Mulberry closed a while back.
PJ, that’s a good insight.
We get to Aldi’s maybe once every 2-3 weeks. I will look for it.
Libs/Marxists/commies ruin EVERYTHING 😥
You won’t be able to tell the difference. EXACTLY the same.
