One only need look at the current lesbian licking Lori Lightfoot (Mayor) the incompetent Kim Foxx (District Attorney) and the lineup of liberal judges that infest C(r)ook County to see what's going on.
So the Chicago Tribune Editorial board is either playing stupid on this issue or they ARE stupid.
No wonder their readership is a pittance of what it used to be.
It should be obvious even to a casual observer that by letting murderers out of prison reduces the in-prison murder rate. Prison murders are a bureaucratic embarrassment
Probably just trying to get to their precinct to vote Democrat.

Many of these incidents are perpetrated by repeat gun offenders. What the Trib and Times should be doing is closely follow those first arrests and report on what the prosecution is saying and doing then the court rulings made which allows them to be released.

This is sometimes an uncomfortable fact. Don’t like it amend it. Until then this is how it should be for EVERYONE, not selectively respected based on demographics, race, or political affiliation. There is going to come a time soon when the shoe is on the other foot some of us might want this right to be applied to ourselves.

Those that are guilty beyond all doubt...Hang them till dead. And don't waste any time about it....
I agree to a point, with the kiddos and a public picnic. Unfortunately there are those who equate only being accused or arrested as a guilty beyond all reasonable doubt conviction even before a trial of peers.
I see far too much of selective observance of Constitutional right of due process. Black, Brown, Accused, live in Chicago... GUILTY from mere accusation. It is a poor example to set that will someday come back to bite us back.
This type of ideology is going to soon be used against White, Christian, Conservatives. I hope that when this happens we are afforded our same Constitutional right of due process and assumption of innocence before actually convicted as guilty.
When it's cut and dry...no doubt about it. Hang um. And quickly.........
