One of my favorite alt-rock bands from the 90s. Enjoy

Despite all my rage, I’m still just Nicolas Cage.
Song for song, the best double album of the 90s imho
Thanks! Haven’t listened to that for a while.
Thanks Laz...
THE WORLD IS AN UMPIRE.....
Interesting trivia:
As you know, Billy Corgan and D’arcy Wretsky mostly hated one another. Later in the career of SP, she kept threatening to leave.
Thats when, every time they played live, Corgan would stare at her during the line “...can you fake it, for just one more show...”
Pissed her off even more.
Great, now if I happen to hear it, I’ll be using your lyrics.
Stabbing Westward fan here.
Ava Adore was done a number of times, trying to get everything to synch up. MANY times. The band was getting sick of it.
But they finally nailed it. EXCEPT for the fact that the camera accidentally panned to the behind-the-scenes movement track and some of the sound techs feeding wires to the camera.
They said, "F*** IT! PRINT!"
I LOVE STABBING WESTWARD!
WAYYY underappreciated group.
I have a friend whose aunt put up the Smashing Pumpkins in her house a couple times while coming through on tour.
Currently have Darkest Days playing in the vehicle! Very underrated. NIN and Manson got all the accolades, but to me SW was so much better, lyrically and musically.
It definitely is some hard-core codependent lyrics tho, lol
Last day of school ..
1979
Definitely one of the top albums of the 1990s. It was released on October 24, 1995. I just know that off the top of my head because I bought it the very day it was released.
I especially liked the drawn-out more mellow tracks like "Porcelina of the Vast Oceans" and "Thru The Eyes of Ruby"
Interesting interview of Corgan on Joe Rogan's YouTube channel. Corgan complains about how record executives only give bad advice like don't write all the music or else you'll end up making more money than the rest of the band and it will be a problem. Switch to later in the interview when he owns up to having written most of the music and it becoming an issue.
Also, as one of his accessories he wore a little boy's jacket like a woman would wear a mink stole. I don't really want to reflect too much on what that means.
Corgan is a hard lefty nutter .
LOL true, but there is something to be said for a love-lorn, losing love, missing said lost love, not wanting to be alone, have to have someone, can’t be alone for a moment, tortured soul.
It is fun to have it blasting as I pull up to a light with my windows down.
