I think it is a scam, 71 with $40k in savings, living in Point Loma would be broke in two years if she does not own the house. If she does own it she has $2million at least in assets.
Perhaps it was her savings ACCOUNT? $38k in the bank and she transfers over dividends, pensions, stock money monthly?
