An eclectic bunch of enviro justice activists (i.e., you ought to check out the list of contributors) have issued a report to BeijingBiden with their demands on future energy policy. Paramount in this is the prohibition against anything that might soften or even eliminate the so-called enviro impact of fossil fuel use. E.g., no monies may be spent on any technology related to carbon capture. Which is a bit odd since one would think that if (big bloody if) one were seriously concerned about the continuing impact of CO2 on the environment one would be willing to push means to DECREASE the impact. OTOHand, if all you wanted was to control, suppress and destroy western civilization you’d indulge in policies designed to do just that. This makes me think that this bunch would hold similar positions regarding public health. E.g., if you were already suffering from a cancer, this bunch would prohibit your taking any curative or even palliative treatment to improve/extend your health. Well, that’s certainly enviro justice for you! Obviously, they are adamantly against nuclear. So, basically, all this bunch cares about is funding only solar panels and wind turbines; neither of which can be recycled or disposed of in an enviro-friendly manner. And, don’t even consider that there is no tech to deal with energy storage or generation during a windless night.

Prior to 1955, fer sure. The reason I mention that is that progressives always throw hate at conservatives: “All they want to do is take us back to the ‘50’s when THEY were in charge.”
