Sad that a video like this has to be made.

With a pistol very unlikely. With a shotgun much easier but the hand would also be gone.

In an endeavor such as this control is critically important!
But Dad did not teach her self control. Where was Dad?

What happened in Columbus was a textbook justification of the use of deadly force by police. The officer used deadly force because the life and safety of another person was at risk if he hadn’t.

The fact someone has made or feels this video needs made shows just how moronic some people are.
Clearly have never fired a handgun in their life if they think this is possible in a real life situation.

I like Mr. Harrell's videos, always entertaining and informative. My only nit with this one would be that I believe the motion of his knife-hand target was probably too smooth. There was little up or down motion and who-ever was pulling it was fairly consistent with crossing speed. With even more erratic (and I would contend realistic) motion his hit percentage would be smaller.
I thought it was an excellent point he made that in terms of danger to innocent bystanders, even a hit on a knife-hand is in-effect a miss. Those rounds are still lethal past (through) the target.

I'm sorry officer, the man committed suicide right before my very eyes..
Officer: OK, tell me what happened..
I told him what he was doing was extremely dangerous and he would surely die if he took one more step forward.. The man foolishly did step forward and I shot him between the eyes.. It was clearly suicide in every sense of the word.....

One important thing he left out of the scenario; the victim was in very close proximity to the assailant. Spray and pray could have gone very badly. If I remember correctly the police officer probably would have hit the victim even if he was successful shooting the knife.

The Lone Ranger did that all the time. He could shoot from the hip without a moment of aiming, and hit the gun or knife every single time.
Him good shot.

Good instructional video for people who even question “Why not shoot the knife?”
I would like to see the same “target shooting” results after the shooter sprinted at full speed for a hundred yards.
