VANITY--What Flag Will You Be Flying This Year?
Posted on 05/15/2021 7:15:15 AM PDT by AbolishCSEU
I only have a "house" flag right now and refuse to fly the American flag with this travesty in the White House.
I will be flying a Gadsen flag from here on out especially on patriotic occasions such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, etc.

Sons of Liberty. Also known as the Flag of Rebellious Stripes.

Well spoken. It seems to escape a lot of people that the flag represents the nation, not the government. Too subtle, I guess.

This has become one of my pet peeves. There is supposed to be a US flag protocol. Whatever it is seems to have been lost or overlooked. The US flag is being used for political purposes and is half mast so often that one never knows why. Individual states should restrict flying half mast for locals and celebrities but govt mandates on fed bldgs should be only for national reasons, and restricted to the length of time flown.

The first thing my husband and I did when we moved to our current house over 26 yrs ago was to install a flag pole in a prominent place near the road. We have flown the US flag full mast, 24 seven, including this day. We never lower it for any reason. Our belief is that this flag honors America and Americans in all situations. I know the military and others have protocols concerning lowering and raising the flag but we are simply citizens who want to see our flag flying as long as this Republic remains free for us to do so. I also am heartened when we are traveling and see the American flag flying on residences and commercial bldgs as well as govt facilities. Beautiful American flag and we thank God every day for what he has given us and this country.

I’ll fly an American flag. It’s the leftists around here who don’t. I say let’s keep it that way.
P.S. — I drive past one of Trump’s golf clubs a couple of times every month. There’s still a large American flag flying there next to the highway, and as far as I can remember it’s been there every time I’ve driven past in the last 25 years.

”I am still an American and I am not in distress. I am in a fight. And in a fight you don't take the flag down until you surrender. “ Amen. Nothing would make the enemies of freedom happier than to see our flags being taken down. Whatever message one thinks they are conveying by taking it down, to the world it sends the message that you are a whipped dog with all the fight beat of you. That ain’t me.

I can’t remember which radio host, but he suggested we should fly both the US and a state flag. The idea is that the country has to get back states are to the original intent that states are sovereign and it would be state by state that this war for our country would be won.

I pass a house in my neighborhood that has a black US flag.
One day as I was passing, he was outside so I stopped to ask him about it. He told me it was in honor of all who died in the service of our country.
