CDC changes guidance so that vaccinated people can go maskless in most scenarios.
I didn’t expect this to come this soon as I expected the tyrants to continue acting tyrannically. Essentially the floodgates are open. Assuming most blue states adopt the CDC position (red states have been ignoring masks for a while), this means soon nobody will be wearing a mask because the unvaccinated will just “pretend” to be vaccinated and ignore mask wearing.
We need more dominoes to fall now. This will happen. As long as there are no states that adopt some kind of vaccine passport then, in effect, everyone will be going maskless everywhere.

Look for the ‘RATS to keep the school children masked as long as they can drag that out. They are DESPICABLE!

My idiot governor, Jay Inslee (Moron D-WA), yesterday is following Biden's covid update and stated that if you're vaccinated you can be outside maskless.
He also stated that there would be no state-wide vaccine passport BUT inferred, (under intense media inquiries), that businesses may require proof of vaccination to enter.
Well now, our sports venues already have 'vaccinated' and 'unvaccinated seating areas, checking vaccination cards upon entry.
How far will this extend?
Will the grocery stores, the Wal-Marts start requiring vaccination proof?
If so, much civil unrest will occur.

The holy CDC is already moving to keep the kids and even infants wearing masks. I hope there’s serious backlash and they don’t get away with it.
The other group that needs to be freed are service sector employees. I think one of the reasons the service businesses are having trouble hiring people is because nobody wants to try to do their job while stuffed in a mask all day. The customers can’t understand what you say, it´s hot and uncomfortable, and it´s also senseless, which makes it even worse.
You know they´re going to be stuck wearing masks long after everybody else has stopped, and somebody needs to take that up with the private sector employers who are enforcing this.

I think the best hope for this situation is for parents, especially mothers, to continue their activism in storming school board and other local meetings to put an end to this. Gotta scare the living crap out of the bureaucrats.
You are too optimistic. I am cynical.
The people and businesses have been terrified into total submission. Our area will keep masking, never mind slavishly taking the unproven shots. Businesses will keep their mask security going along with their signs about it.
Our neighbors have held their boys hostage all year over this fear. They still will not allow my son to play unless HE vaxxes. Sorry, I’m not risking this shot for an overblown disease.

The businesses are the real problem. Remember most small businesses are run by local people. If your locality is reliably liberal....you’re going to be shunned if you don’t mask, much less vax.
You are right - the damage has been done. I guess it is regional - no business in Texas is going to make me wear a mask. Perhaps I don’t fully appreciate how much crap there is blue states.
Sorry to be so cynical. When one lives surrounded by these ninny nannies all one’s life, it’s hard to see really positively.
