Cirrus SR22
The Cirrus SR22 is a single-engine four- or five-seat composite aircraft built from 2001 by Cirrus Aircraft of Duluth, Minnesota. It is a development of the Cirrus SR20, with a larger wing, higher fuel capacity, and a more powerful, 310-horsepower engine

I find it surprising the pilot of the Cirrus SR22 was wearing a parachute.

At first I thought a Cirrus SR22 would be an ultra-light.

Where did you see the pilot was wearing a chute?

There are actually parachutes attached to planes these days. Small planes. Not jumbo jets. As an option. Especially sport planes.
