If it’s such an obviously great idea, why are they having to push it so hard?

Exactly.

The more they push it, the less I want it.

I'm not an anti-vaxxer per se. I've had pretty much all the standard ones over my lifetime like polio, smallpox, tetanus, etc.

But this zeal by the government to get me to take this one is creeping me out. So I weigh the pros and cons.

I don't see any pros because even if you take it, you are still told to physically separate from others and mask up. Not that I do any of that unless I have to but that would be the case if I had the shot or not.

The only con I see is that I might get "flu-like" symptoms for a few days and food won't taste or smell as good for a while.

OK, I've had the flu before. And I'm not old and I have no "underlying conditions." So I'll take my chances and take a pass on this one, thank you very much.

That exactly describes my attitude. I just can't avoid the feeling that there's some hidden agenda behind this, that they are preparing us for something further down the road, trying to create a precedent for forcing millions of people to have something done to their bodies that they don't want done, e.g., some sort of implant, or forced sterilization.

Those reactions are very common, but tolerable. What worries me more are the far less frequent - but persistent - reports of blood clotting and other vascular issues. There's a history of stroke in my family (on my mother's side) and that spooks me. Right now, I think I'd rather take my chances with Covid-19 (which I might already have had last year) than take the shots.

This boils down to a fundamental aspect of EVERYTHING associated with the reaction to this virus.

If the virus were as deadly to the population at large as they portray it, you wouldn’t have to browbeat people into quarantining, wearing masks, getting vaccinated, staying out of crowded environments, etc.

People would have done all these things of their own volition.

And more.

This stuff makes me grit my teeth, even when I see those useless, POS electronic message boards the government spent MY damn tax dollars on to tell me to buckle up, don’t text, wear a mask, and get vaccinated.

That makes me madder than Hell.
