srael’s aggressive vaccination policy recorded another win on Saturday when just 13 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the country – the lowest rate in 14 months, according to data released by the Health Ministry this week.
On Saturday, 9,238 coronavirus tests were conducted across the country, according to the ministry, and just 0.1 percent of these returned positive.
They also come as the number of serious cases dropped to 100, including 60 people on ventilators, out of the 1,310 active cases in the country.
Also on Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces announced that it was Covid-free for the first time since the outbreak began. It recorded zero active cases among its ranks.
In March, the military announced that it had reached herd immunity from the disease, with more than 80 percent of all service people either vaccinated or recovered from the virus.

Israel began its vaccination program with the two-shot Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine in late December, and has managed to inoculate more than 60 percent of its total population, and 80 percent of the eligible population over the age of 16, to reach more than 5.4 million people.
It is the highest per capita vaccination rate in the world.
In February, a study of 1.2 million members of Israel’s largest health-maintenance organization, Clalit Health Services, showed the Pfizer vaccine is 94 percent effective in preventing symptomatic Covid-19 and 92% effective in preventing serious disease in vaccinated people who do get infected.
In April, experts suggested that the country had reached herd immunity.

Uh oh this is not good news for the anti-vaccine crowd here.
Here is what happened to me today — I share this with you because I agree with you.
You know what I am tired of? The antivaxxers. Let me tell you my day.
This morning I had to attend again to a patient with SARS from COVID. This patient had been in my ICU for 13 days including today. I work on 7 off 7 in this particular ICU. (I am sick of Hanoi Jane telling me my schedule and berating me for taking the time to educate people in the off time I have). I went back today after 7 days off. The patient was laying in a bed, lungs shredded from high vent pressures required to oxygenate the patient in order to prevent the other organs from dying from hypoxemia. Over the last 24 hours, this patient had developed severe renal failure (the harbinger for doom in the critically ill with CoVID). Patient had severe hypercoaguable state, and there was absolutely no path to survival.
Patient family was gathered day and night outside the patient’s window. We moved the patient’s bed to the window so the family could see their loved one. I had to tell 9 family members this morning that there was no way their loved one would survive. We were torturing the patient by ongoing therapy, patient had chest tubes, needed dialysis, had a failing heart, clots everywhere, and multiorgan system failure.
The kicker? The patient had the opportunity to be vaccinated. According to the family, the patient fell into the traps of the spewing of talking points that are horribly inaccurate that we see everyday on this forum. Gene therapy (it is not)...Vaccine passports...they do not exist, and the patient even tried to order and take ivermectin paste from the local supply shop.
I want every freeper who spews the bullsh*t talking points that try to sway people away from SAFE AND EFFECTIVE Vaccines to take a day, and round in the ICU with the lingering patients with COVID. I DARE them to have the courage to treat these patients, and then their families as they die HORRIBLE DEATHS. Spew you various 1 in a million problems and point out that this is OK.
The blood of many are on your hands. Do these so called Freepers who have the internet expertise of cut and past have the courage to look at this monster in the face? Care for the sick? Counsel the grieving family members? Until such as time that one of them has actually had the conversation that a loved one is dying, BUT THERE WAS A WAY TO PREVENT IT...they can all go to hell.
I guess they expect 80% of the Israeli population will die off within months.
I have had similar experiences as has anyone who treats covid patients I would wager. Folks who are at risk who should have had the vaccine but didn’t now in the icu or worse. Generally I am seeing a younger unvaccinated crowd in the hospital now. Mostly age 30-55. some with risk factors some without. The fearmongering around the vaccine is costing lives. No doubt about it

What motivation can a supposedly medically-trained individual have to promote mass 'vaccinations' to a demographic which carries the same risk of dying in a vehicular crash?

Tell me what you think the Pa/fi ratio is that should require ventilation or oxygenation. What vent mode would you use.

People may want to vaccinated for flu and pneumonia, but are still needing data about things like vaccine’s impact on menstrual cycles etc...

For some people, yes.
But for those posting articles and videos from “expert physicians” who are against any and all vaccines from the beginning of time for any reason, including from one “expert physician” who denies there is any such thing as viruses or bacteria that cause illnesses in the first place, including denying that polio ever existed and that appendicitis doesn’t really exist - it is just constipation in all cases - I think it is safe to say those individuals are anti-vaxx and, indeed, anti-reality itself.
Good news from Israel.
There may be some side effects of the vaccine that aren’t fully known yet, but especially for older persons I think the greater risk is in not taking it. I’ve had an intermittent burning sensation in my feet since a couple of days after the second dose(almost constant in one foot). I don’t know if it’s related to the vaccine or not, but it doesn’t seem to be getting better.
That’s an annoyance and possibly dangerous. Contrast that, though, with what happened to the mother of one of my nieces by marriage — over seventy and with some health problems. She chose not to get the vaccine and died of COVID-19 last week.
