I'm posting this in News because a) James is being called a "skeptic" and other nasty names when, frankly, he's being pretty non-committal, and b) whether you've heard of him or not, James and Metallica are pretty popular (which is probably why people are going after him for not towing the line) - they are the 18th best-selling artist ever in terms of
millions of albums and equivalents sold in the US:
THE BEATLES: 183
GARTH BROOKS: 157
ELVIS PRESLEY: 146.5
EAGLES: 120
LED ZEPPELIN: 111.5
MICHAEL JACKSON: 85
BILLY JOEL: 84.5
ELTON JOHN: 79
AC/DC: 75
PINK FLOYD: 75
GEORGE STRAIT: 69
BARBRA STREISAND: 68.5
MARIAH CAREY: 68.5
AEROSMITH: 66.5
THE ROLLING STONES: 66.5
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN: 65.5
MADONNA: 64.5
METALLICA: 63 million units sold

“James and Metallica are pretty popular “
No sh*t. I saw them lives 11 times. 12th if his head didnt get on fire and Axl didnt turn into an as*hole in Montreal. The next stop was Vancouver and I had tix for that one. Heck, I still have the stub for it because I was too lazy to get the refund from Ticketmaster.
