You’re way to optimistic. Personel and leadership wise, the military is at about a 5.5 but in military hardware and technology we’re an 11.
Our saving grace could be our technological advantage and our weapons platforms (ships, planes, tanks etc...etc...) are far superior to our enemies platforms. The question for our Navy will be, how well have our sailors been trained to fight their ships and do damage control. Considering how much time they’ve been training for SJW crap since 2009, I’m not certain our personnel are going to hold up in the coming war with China, and likely Russia and Iran too.

However, with the Marines doing away with tanks and artillery; the Navy’s penchant for seeking out container ships to ram, the CVN Ford relegated to a training ship, the LCS mostly headed to the scrapper, and the DDG-1000’s lack of armament or naval roll; the general state of the F-35s and their extreme maintenance costs plus ongoing bugs - there is a definite service-wide, steep technological, downward trend.

This country is very ill equipped to fight a REAL war. By that I mean a war we are forced to fight, not one we entered of our on volition for the wrong reasons.

The professional officer classes have been replaced with PC pansies. And I don’t even want to think about the grunts who can’t climb a rope.
BTW, when I was 48 while revisiting PI (my father’s last duty station) I went to the top of the rope on the obstacle course with NO legs. Arms only. Any 19 year old who can’t do that is a pussy who doesn’t belong in the military. And that includes women.

Including the skirt wearing formerly male identifying Admirals who are ok with changing the Navy logo to an eagle wearing an expletive deleted mask - the Navy leadership that is supposed to be making Xi tremble at the fate that will befall him if he even things about threatening Taiwan.

You need to come up with a better comparison than the Spartans.
Tech is one of the ways they will be destroyed permanently because of itech/electronics/etc. being remotely accessed/misdirected/turned off/etc.
Hardwired, non-tech./non-electronic, mechanical, etc. is more secure in a lot of respects.
