The Jacksonville Jaguars are planning on signing Tebow to a one-year deal, according to NFL Network, as he plans a comeback as a tight end. Though the ex-quarterback had brief stints with the Patriots and Eagles, Tebow hasn’t played in the NFL since 2012 with the Jets.
Tebow, 33, recently had a tryout with the Jaguars after reaching out to them regarding his interest in converting to tight end.

Bull crap.
He could have been the tight end on the Pats with Brady. What a nightmare that would have been for him.
His ego got the best of him, or he had horrible advice.
I wish him luck. It would have been fun to see him out there with Amendolla, Edelman, and Gronk.
He was always known as the first person at the training facilities in the pre-dawn. His work ethic is top tier. He’ll be in NFL++ condition.
I agree with all of that.
Even going back 30 years, I never liked it when sports teams tried to sell tickets; it just led to a bunch of people cheering and supporting their team and that ruins the outdoor solitude for many.
Setting that aside, I hope Tim Tebow does well but I am reluctant to see him back on an NFL controlled team.
Tebow is strong mentally, spiritually, and physically but even at that, I can't see him being able to pull 32 team owners, players, advertisers, and the NFL front office out of the sewer single-handedly.
In terms of quaintness, I can remember Tebow-haters back in 2013-2015 saying things like “the NFL just cares about merit on the field, the NFL isn't the least bit interested in blacklisting conservatives or promoting a left wing world view.”
I still chuckle when I think of how many NFL fan(atics) actually bought into that line.
Yeah whatever, when you have Mark Sanchez, who would ever think of starting Tebow. That’s the kind of crap the NFL threw at him to derail him.
And were the middling numbers you refer to when he utterly turned around the Broncos and took them two games deep into the playoffs, only losing to Brady and the Patriots?
And yes, there was a solid conspiracy against him. The NFL is a cesspool.
Exactly.
I'll say it again: In terms of quaintness, I can remember Tebow-haters back in 2013-2015 saying things like “the NFL just cares about merit on the field, the NFL isn't the least bit interested in blacklisting conservatives or promoting a left wing world view.”
I still chuckle when I think of how many NFL fan(atics) actually bought into that line. Not many still have faith in the NFL; a few still do.
And did you know, as a NFL starting quarterback Tim Tebow was above average in wins? I said above average.
What’s a half cousin?
Koolest!
Do a Jag Wag
The child of a parent’s half sibling.
Let’s see if he makes it through camp
I think he might end up on the coaching staff eventually.
No doubt about that. But he'll be competing against candidates ten years younger than he is, and who have been playing the position all through high school and college which he has not.
It’s all good! 😁
Why not? Nobody was interested in him in football.......
He's an athlete and a solid competitor so why not try to succeed in another sport? There are very few players in sports today with his dedication and moral fiber and kudos to Urban Meyer in giving him another shot.
Would be great for trick plays too... Flick it to the tight end who throws it downfield
Could you provide us with the evidence that the Pats even offered him the position?
His ego got the best of him, or he had horrible advice.
Advice from whom? I would think that Tebow was the best assessment of his own abilities without advice from others, wouldn't you?
And if he doesn't, he's just a glory hound attention whore, right?............Sheesh!
Love the positive thinking folks around here......./NOT!
He was on the Patriots. There are numerous articles written about him being told he should be a TE.
I am not going to do your research for you. You blindly believe all the crap you read about him being such a pious boy. As most great athletes are—he has a very, very healthy ego. And it’s hurt him.
He was unable to repeat that.
His arm was weak. He could not see over the linemen to see receivers.
Being able to come back year after year and repeat above average stats is what matters. There were many others better than him. His bare ring fingers tells you what you need to know.
