Unemployment is up, far higher than expected. Close to 14 million Americans say they want to work but cannot find a job. At the very moment that unemployment is rising, fewer people are working, American businesses say they can’t find employees.
The United States is currently experiencing shortages of chicken, generators, roofing materials, lumber, ketchup, bicycles, diapers, ammunition, automobiles, plastics, appliances, chlorine, pork and propane tanks. Among other things.

Are people not willing to take a job that they’re overqualified for? Yeah, maybe.

Spending my life working white-collar jobs for 40 years, and only punched a time clock for 2 weeks of that time, and 4 years in the Army, there is no way I will ever do blue-collar manual labor work. Period.
