If people think it’s unfair for men to compete against women in sports, wait until you see the bloodbath when it happens in combat.

In combat?? Hope they don’t get into hand to hand combat. But actually, I think this is just so they can let the men wear earrings, makeup, and pony tails.

Having served in tanks I’d sure be reluctant to wear something like that around moving machinery or inside a tank turret.

Correct. There are many reasons not to have long hair but safety is a top priority. I served with airmen who were maimed for life by getting something caught in equipment.

All the male needs to do is declare himself a woman.

My first thought too. They just opened a can of worms.

It’s just a matter of time until “male” soldiers will sue to wear ponytails down the center of their backs.

I would not want to have a ponytail during a hand-to-hand encounter.

The fact that I recognized the Spec 5 rank in that photo is probably an indicator that I'm getting old.

That's way back when John Larroquette was a captain!

Kind of defeats the purpose of having tanker boots to make sure you don’t have any laces that get tangled up. It’s probably far safer to have an exposed boot lace free in the turret than it is to have a 12” pony tail.
