1) I like Calibri and Cambira for sarifs. They are my defaults.
2) Why delete a font? Is there not enough RAM or something?

Many core, very basic features that used to work in Office on the Mac are broken now. They crippled VBA. The whole Office suite is larded down with useless crap. They force you to pay an annual license fee now and the apps check in with the mothership regularly, delaying program launch.
And they want to spend money playing with FONTS? Is this a rewind to the 1984 wonders of WYSIWYG?

Helvetica Neue is a pretty and easy to read font. I love going to Adobe and hungrily eyeing all the pretty new fonts they have there for my Illustrator and Photoshop. They have some really pretty fonts!
