The address is a mile and a half from where my grandmother’s house was. Back then, t was a lower middle class neighborhood with mostly Polish and Swedish immigrants. As a child in the 1950s and 1960s, I could walk alone 4 blocks to grocery stores. Never heard a gun shot. Never worried about my safety.
