I have loved bagpipes since I was little way before I knew I was Scottish/Welsh/Irish and had endured hours of my dad playing Danny Boy over and over. Must have been in my DNA

Me too!!! From the first time I heard them, loved the sound. Energizing, uplifting, mournful, festive, and courageous all at once.

I have always loved them, also, although my fondness has been shared with only one brother among my 4 brothers and 4 sisters. I don’t think my parents were fans. No Scottish in my line. Dad was half Irish, and Mom was all Irish.

Bagpipe swing with Gunhild Carling in Central Park NY: 3.5 minutes She also plays trombone, bagpipes, trumpet, recorder, string instruments (such as banjo,
ukulele and harp), and will often showcase all of her skills in one song, sometimes casually breaking into a tap dance or singing
