I have never understood the tattoo thing. Right or wrong, I relegate people with tattoos has having misplaced priorities. Regardless of who they are, they should have better things to do with their time and money.
I have always considered it people who have some need to “follow the crowd”.
Or, as I once told an idiot S-I-L who just had to have one (and now wishes it was gone): you need to express your individuality - just like everyone else.

Where I work, if someone comes in looking for a job and they have a tattoo, we simply find a reason to NOT hire the person. Similar for EEOC types but we’re still have to take some.
And why is it that the most ugliest people seem to get the most tattoos?
Do they think, “Gee, I’m ugly, stupid, make poor lifestyle decisions and not very smart. Maybe some tattoos will help?”
Amen!
What not to understand. Getting a tatoo is showing your individuality by doing somthing stupid like everybody else.....and it doesn't age well.
A tramp stamp looks hot on 18 year old girls.....not so much when they hit 40 after 3 kids. Just ask Lydia

I avoid men who have tattoos; they creep me out. I kind of understand if they were in the Navy or something and the tats are a thing everyone did.
If I see a female with any tattoo, no question: Skank. Trash.
And what about the low-income folks who sport numerous tattoos? Aren’t they expensive? Can you pay for a tattoo with food stamps?
The only tattoo I can even *begin* to understand is...19 year old kid, just joined the military, first time away from home, kinda scared...goes out drinking with his buddies one Saturday night.
I will never understand why people get tattoos either.
I once was at a Denver park with our four year old son and I saw a mother and father, all inked up. Problem was, their son, who looked to be around six, also had tattoos, including one on his throat.
Good luck to that boy when he goes out into the world and tries to get a job, other than being a janitor or other back-breaking work.
My father always said that we could make money with either our backs or our brains.
Pretty much in the same boat. Painting your skin seems like a weird priority. Maybe they should just buy different colored shirts or something.
