Muslims need not fast if they are ill or menstruating during Ramadan – and are obligated to make up their fast another day according to the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis), a statutory board that looks after the administration and interests of Singapore’s Muslim community.
So it’s not just a sin but potentially a criminal act?
To: nickcarraway
It’s not really fasting anyway if it’s only from dawn till dusk.

I would give a side eye when my friends brought a ham sandwich for lunch during lent. We went to Catholic school so it was a big thing. Lol. He blamed his mother. Lol.

“Ramadan is the Islamic holy month where Muslims fast from dawn to dusk.”
From Dusk to Dawn they become vampires.

This is not news...Moslems always eat during this pagan ritual...
They stop eating at sun rise and start again at sun set...so they really only miss one meal... lunch...or put it off for a few hours...
its not a Biblical fast...

Many people who are Muslim are Sufi or agnostic and do not follow all the tenets of Islam. I was around a group of them during Ramadan and about 60-70 percent were drinking and eating while the rest where being faithful. I asked their team lead/ my terp about it and he said this was common during Ramadan and then I asked about the religious aspect of daytime eating. He said they are going to hell. Not much for me to say after that.

Why can't they be like this gentleman?

Near where I grew up there's a large Orthodox community and many Caribbean people in Spring Valley, NY. It's not unusual to see a Carribean grocery selling pork pies next door to a kosher deli, yet for the most part they all get along just fine.

People pushing their religion- indeed expecting that *ANYONE* else behave according to the dictates of *THEIR* religion need their ass kicked.
Faith is a private affair, anyone using what they believe to be a revealed belief system to prohibit or require me to do anything need to be terminated.
