I see you've lived, went to university in China.
I was slated to follow my project to Shanghai June of 2020, but COVID.

Ok, it’s not common, not a lot of these birds but they are the ugliest bird.

Saw some early one morning, perched in a tall Douglas fir at Mesa Verde. One stretched his wings to warm them in the morning sun. Huge. Truly a magnificent sight. Now I know why the Indians called them Thunderbirds.

If they died out....wouldn’t bother me a bit. They really are no longer needed.

Nestling 1078 hatched on April 12th according to the National Park Service

Seems like they could come up with more imaginative names for these condors then just giving them a number. What about Bob? Or Soda. Or Seven. It’s a beautiful name for a boy or a girl...

Wouldn’t that be a turkey vulture?

If you break that vulture’s fetus, it is protected by law and it’s a felony.
If you destroy a human fetus, it is called a “choice”, not protected by law.
In our society, an emerging vulture life has more legal protection than an emerging human life.
