I went to The Who’s “Farewell Tour”.

In 1981.

Yeah. It would have been nice to see them with Keith Moon, though.

I went to the Who’s final tour at Giants Stadium in New Jersey in the 80s. I just recently watched it on YouTube. I was pretty drunk for the concert as I was a senior in high school at the time. No protesting for our class. Just good times. We were weekend warriors. No SJW. Last thing I remember about that night was David Johansen singing “We gotta get out of this place”.

And their next farewell tour.

It was not long after that show I realized I grew out of The Who’s music. It does not age well unless one is perpetually 18.
