Thromboembolic events with concurrent low platelets.
Up to 14th April 2021 the MHRA had received Yellow Card reports of 168 cases of major thromboembolic events (blood clots) with concurrent thrombocytopenia (low platelet counts) in the UK following vaccination with Covid-19 vaccine AstraZeneca.
These events occurred in 93 women and 75 men aged from 18 to 93 years and the overall case fatality rate was 19% with 32 deaths.
The estimated number of first doses of Covid-19 vaccine AstraZeneca administered in the UK by 14th April was 21.2 million giving an overall case incidence of 7.9 per million doses.
The data suggest there is a high incidence reported in the younger adult age groups and the MHRA advises that this evolving evidence should be taken into account when considering the use of the vaccine.

Now an update from one week later.
The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has reported an additional 41 cases of rare blood clots in people who have received doses of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine.
In a weekly update on Covid-19 vaccines’ side effects, the MHRA noted that the benefits of the vaccine continued to prevail over the risks in most people.
Till 21 April, the regulator had received Yellow Card reports of 209 cases of major thromboembolic events (blood clots) with thrombocytopenia (low platelet counts) in the country on receiving AstraZeneca’s vaccine. Four cases were noted on administering the second dose.
The Yellow Card scheme is a mechanism by which people can voluntarily report any suspected adverse reactions or side effects related to the vaccine.
A total of 41 deaths were reported following the clots in Britain.
The data suggest there is an increased occurrence of very rare clots observed in younger adult individuals on administering the vaccine. The MHRA advised that this evolving evidence should be considered while using the vaccine.
I think I’ll recommend folks avoid the AstraZeneca vaccine and get one of the mRNA vaccines (Moderna & Pfizer).
AstraZeneca and J and J vaxxes are both one dose vaxxes with fetal stem cells involved throughout.
A bit of a moral dilemma as well as a health dilemma.
iirc Harvard did a study in which adverse events for vaccines were reported at a ... 1% rate.
The other 99% went unreported.
Your turn.
“Earlier this month the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended a pause in the use of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) COVID-19 vaccine following reports that, within two weeks of getting it, six women developed blot clots, and one of them died.”
When the pause was lifted the case count was reported at 15.
“A similar pattern of clots has been observed in a very small percentage of people who received the AstraZeneca vaccine in Europe. “
Thanks for posting, Cathi. No BIG PHARMA/BIG VAXX attack for me. No thanks. I’ve seen enough...up close and personal.
“a very small ‘percentage’
Just what percentage and how big was the base?
This. Is. Perfection.
Hah! That is a great pic for these vaccines.
Thanks for bringing to my attention, that’s BANG on, no pun intended. Or was it?
A one in six chance that it was intentional.
:)
Yellow card?
To keep medicine simple, use soccer analogies.
Hah! I see what you did there.
Is that The Deer Hunter?
This must be a nightmare for someone to go through. I have seen internet pictures of many cases of this after the covid vax.
