Enjoyed the first batch of asparagus this week. Strange though, half went straight to bolt.
Has it been unseasonably warm by you? That would cause them to bolt sooner than normal. How about water? Are they getting enough water? If they are stressed and think they’re dying, they would bold sooner to try to set seed to get the ‘next generation’ started before they think they’re going to die.
Wait? Asparagus can THINK? ;)
