Let the “Florida education” jokes begin.
Photos of a fresh paint job in an Orange County school zone show what was supposed to be the word “SCHOOL” incorrectly spelled “SCOHOL.” The botched paint job was spotted Wednesday on Golfway Boulevard near Woodbury Road in the Eastwood subdivision of East Orange County, just south of Waterford Lakes.
A county spokeswoman said it was “an honest mistake” that was corrected Wednesday night.
They meant to paint ALCOHOL but the dummies were too sober.
You think the contractors didn’t know how to spell “school”? And you denigrate FL schools based on this example?
Fact is, FL schools are pretty good. The colleges are getting better every day too - despite the wokeness. I’ve watched UF and even FSU zoom by PSU in nearly every college ranking.
This was a mistake. I’ve had a crew do an entire $10K installation on the side yard of the WRONG house. It happens.
Oh man ... ON PURPOES!!!
(purpose!!)
Waitin’ for the Florida joke. Oh, wait I’ll say it this time.
It’s Florida, Jake.
Thoughts of scotch whisky entered my mind when I saw this.
You’re not making them look good, with all due respect.
We are entering the stupid era, folks.
This is the same localel that won’t lift the muzzle diktat until 70% of the population has been shot up...

My HS yearbook had an Al Coholic in it. I’m sure it was just a typo.
They guys that were hired to do our parking lot were drunker than hell. Lines all wavy. wrong colors.
He claimed he was a professional after we told him his job looked like shit.
The homeowner gave us the wrong address. She had just moved there, and gave us her neighbor’s address. She ended up paying our costs for her neighbor’s yard, and full retail for hers. She and the neighbor laughed about it.
I once took a train from Baltimore to Washington DC. I was at a Navy reunion in Baltimore. My wife and I wanted to see some DC attractions.
I went to the information desk at the DC train station and asked the guy behind the desk how to gt to Ford's Theater. That drew a blank stare and the guy said, "I'm not familiar."
I said, "The place where Lincoln was shot."
More blank stare and he said, "Someone was shot?"
When I managed to get my gaping chin off of my chest, I said, "Never mind."
I told mywife this was an obvious product of DC education. We went to find the theater on our own.
Someone messed up, and the street painter did not question the typo on the work order he was given. I wonder what they are thinking about this over at the “Borda Ejucashun”?
Wasn’t the street number of their house attached somewhere on the outside of the house? Also, the street address would be on the documents received from the escrow/closing company.
At least our schools are open and we are no paying teachers to go on vacations
All the houses in this development look the same. She was in NY (not Florida) and she sent us the wrong address.
Not sure what you’re talking about w/ the escrow/closing company. What we do requires no permit pulling. Just a 50% deposit and we’re a go - unless the HOA has a say (which wasn’t the case here).
My point was don’t assume an entire population of people are stupid because of a mistake. Mistakes happen. It’s part of life.
Hey Betty that’s not right , I said Betty because everyone knows women are running the show
I’d wager the people who did the work don’t speak English as their primary language
