Covid-19 vaccine myths: These reasons for not getting a shot don't hold up. In fact, they'll set the US back

Americans have an easy way to crush Covid-19 -- one that would let businesses fully reopen safely, ditch the need for social distancing and restore a mask-free return to normalcy.

But many Americans don't want to get vaccinated as myths and misunderstandings spread.

"Facebook runs a survey every day ... and that's shown that vaccine confidence in the US has been slowly but steadily going down since February," said Dr. Christopher Murray, director of the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.

"We were at 75% of adults saying they wanted the vaccine. Now we're down to, in those surveys, about 67%."

Vaccine hesitancy is a big problem for several reasons:

The mortality rate for those under 25 YO is 0.005% — likely comorbidity cases.

And there is yet no published statistical evidence the vaccine is offsetting SARS cases and fatalities. Not saying the vaccines are not “saving lives”, but the US stats have yet to show that’s the case.

If I had no other reason for not taking the vaccine, the fact that CNN tells me I need to take it is more than enough reason to avoid it like the plague.

The CDC has only itself to blame. People are experiencing side effects and medical concerns that the MSM, CDC are determiend to shout down, but the problems don't go away. Forcing an experimental vaccine on an  unwilling public by lying to them is not a good idea.

WTF ever Beaches.

I finally got my shingles shot two weeks ago and glad it was on a Friday. The side effects were horrendous.

woke up Saturday and it felt like someone broke my arm, it was black and blue, my back was in the most incredible pain, joints hurt, headache.

That persisted an entire week!

Then my arm was red around the bicep and itchy.

This is why I will not take something that isn’t proven.

At least with this I could weigh the risks.

So, if that's true, then companies requiring that their workers be vaccinated should be able to be held liable in the event that unforeseen/untested results occur from the vaccination that are harmful or fatal to the individuals receiving the vaccination. It also should mean that, like the Thalidomide disaster that occurred in the 50's, the companies producing the vaccines should be able to be held liable for any future harmful results.

However, at least as far as I am aware, because these vacs are EUA, nobody can or will be held responsible in the event that these vaccinations have harmful long-term side-effects.
