Rose McGowan says the Democratic Party is just as much of a cult as the one she was raised in.
Growing up with the Children of God “gave me the ability to see the control and the propaganda machine, especially in the U.S., for what it is and how it harms people,” the actor and activist said Monday on Fox News.
The “Brave” author called that ability a “superpower” that allowed her to see that the political left could harm people just as much as the right, if they ignore other aspects of reality. She said she no longer considered herself a Democrat. But she didn’t jump to the other side, either.
“I’m not conservative in my beliefs,” McGowan told Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce. “I believe in different personal freedoms than maybe people watching this. But I can still be your friend, I can still be your ally, and I can still want the best for you.”
“I am not here to make people feel bad about their political choices, but I am here to say that you might be in a cult too, if you don’t know the signs,” said McGowan, who played a key part in the #MeToo movement against convicted entertainment mogul Harvey Weinstein. “And I do believe Democrats most especially are in a deep cult that they really don’t know about and aren’t really aware of.”

I’ll buy that. I certainly believe that much of the left, the wokists, the SJWs, and their movements exhibit cult-like tendencies. Claims to have exclusive possession of the truth. A rigid belief system. Demonization of those outside the group. I used to have some acquaintances who went from ordinary liberals to leftists and they started having a weirdness about them. They discussed all issues in the same with the same words and expressions. They bought into some laughably ridiculous B.S. To the extent that the Democrat Party supports and encourages this kind of stuff, then it can be considered a cult.

Grow her hair out, and she will still be hot. And knock the chip off her shoulder as well. Relentless anger is unattractive, and it eats the bearer alive. It seems to me that she may be softening somewhat.
She’s always struck me as a kook, but she’s right about this.
I’ll never understand why fake history is better when it’s our side serving it. I guess anything goes these days.
