I’ll buy that. I certainly believe that much of the left, the wokists, the SJWs, and their movements exhibit cult-like tendencies. Claims to have exclusive possession of the truth. A rigid belief system. Demonization of those outside the group. I used to have some acquaintances who went from ordinary liberals to leftists and they started having a weirdness about them. They discussed all issues in the same with the same words and expressions. They bought into some laughably ridiculous B.S. To the extent that the Democrat Party supports and encourages this kind of stuff, then it can be considered a cult.
