It's 91 deg, slight wind and 17% humidity.
The scallions are reaching, the radishes will be ready in a week and I see strawberries.
I had to thin out around 100 peaches and 200 plums. I see apricots.
The pepper leaves have all turned from yellowish to dark green. And the green beans and cucumbers have broken through.
Even the tomato leaves are bluish green and I have fruit on my San Marzanos.
We had 4 in snow last Wednesday.
Yesterday was 84 deg.
Today the grandson’s baseball game is postponed due to flooding.
Typical midwest spring, LOL.
peaches, plums, apricots in April?
I get everything in the dirt by April 15th.
And I always think I get it in too late. But it’s never too late.
As you know you can plant as late as June 1st if you have starters.
The garlic mustard is rampant
But my knotweed isn’t sprouting. Dead? Prolly
California weather’s been great this year. Wonder what fire season will bring....
They’re not ripe, but I have more than 100 each on the trees.
They blossom in late Feb.
I’ve got a couple tomato plants out in the garden. They’re wrapped up in visqueen tonight as forecast is for 40F or a bit lower out in the boondocks.
It’s 91 degrees in April? August must be horrific!
I would say that it can’t be worse than last year.
But I don’t want to jinx it.
August has an AVERAGE high of 96, interspersed with a dozen 100+ deg days.
Very hot climate. And dry.
In the summer the humidity rarely exceeds 20%.
try almonds and pistaschios, dates..
I still have snow in my yard.
Arizona? We always plant peppers sometime in March when it gets nice and warm, then we plant them again after that last frost...
“And to go along with your harvest.......there’s a fresh supply of illegals that just arrive to help out with your bounties and ready them for market.”
Why would you say such a thing?
Are you a dimwit?
39 degrees this morning, 90.3 right now. I put out tomatoes I started indoors, they are about a foot tall already.
