When I was with BFG’s IMSA Camel GT Racing Team, we’d fly into Sea-Tac Airport to race at PIR (Portland In’t Raceway), and it was a nice city. The crazies were seemingly ‘confined’ to a small area in town, but they own the place now.
I used to go to PIR sometimes, nice way to spend a day if the weather was OK. There were always crazies in Portland (especially in NW before it got trendy), but not the sort you have today.

The Trump supporter tells the I-Team he infiltrated a group of activists in Sonoma County who call themselves anti-fascist, and he gave us what he says is their “target list” and recordings of their planning sessions.
SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) — Shocking comments were made during an online meeting of far-left activists in Sonoma County, discussing a possible protest for this Saturday.
Group leader: “It’s May Day, baby, like come out and take, take somethin’ over with us, I don’t, I don’t (bleep)-ing know.”
Member: “Let’s kill people. (laughs)”
Group Leader: “Let’s kill some cops.”
Member: “Yeah.”

I still have family in Portland, one a prominent attorney. They are all as liberal as Wheeler. Their kids probably run with pantifa. I gave them all up as lost years ago.
Sorry to hear about your family. Sometimes you just don’t need the aggravation, though.
They are cousins, but my family and theirs were close, even though they in Portland and we in Eugene. Our mothers grew up together and were best friends.
We still get together for a week at a Cascade Mountains lake, but no talk of religion or politics. When someone can’t help themselves, we all just go home.
You grew up in Eugene? Nice town; I went to UO for three years in the mid-70s. Then I finished up (finally) at OSU in 1985. Lots of fine lakes in the Cascades, too. I really miss the Northwest sometimes.
