Unlikely this robodog could survive a Louisville Slugger?
But it has blinking lights!
Black mirror?
How about minority report?
I’m sure armed hover drones will be more acceptable.

Needs mods to water-proof it for retrieving ducks. And a new name. Something like “0 digit-eDog.”
Sniffed someone in the privates? Humped a leg?
Typical dumba@@ libtard thinking. How could you think a blue robot dog is “raciss”? I suppose these idiots think it’s better to sacrifice a live cop to ambush, which is becoming more prevalent, than sending in a robot dog. With the rate of NYC cops quite justifiably leaving as a result of extreme disrespect by DumblASSio et al, robot dogs might be the only cops NYC will be able to get. But public safety takes a very big second place to pandering to libtard snowflakes.
Some are upset, because it could potentially be effective.
All it is, is a walking camera/mic.
But it is much cheaper than a human cop, when you factor in salary, benefits, and insurance, and that the robot can work 24/7.
The big thing that criminals could fear, is that its camera is continuously recording faces and locations. Add to it facial recognition software, and it can pick out people with outstanding warrants, and provide a list of likely suspects whenever a crime occurs.
Absolute stupidity to return this. It was probably the least intrusive and harmful tool the NYPD has bought in years. That and the fact that they would be able to survey a situation without any humans being harmed made it an overall plus for law enforcement.
I don’t think people realize how much not having officers at risk enables de-escalation in a standoff.
These policy makers are morons.
You send these to neighborhoods that are AFFLUENT. They patrol the street and when someone tries to break into your car, the robot dog mounts it’s M-2 and sprays .50 caliber bullets into the perp.
THAT is how you gain acceptance of police drones - put them in neighborhoods that crack addicts are using as piggy banks.
I want one!
Seriously, I thought DeBlasio disbanded the NYC TARU unit.
NO ONE should patrol a housing project.
I heard a loud clang and didn’t think much of it until I almost tripped on some metal slag near the curb and realized the robodog had crapped on the sidewalk.
Having a digital dog is a good idea. It can deliver megabites to criminals in record time.
No word on whether digital fire hydrants are required.
I’ll take him.

They should have kept it in case they ever need a robot to deliver a bomb to a holed up sniper like the Dallas cops did several years ago.
