TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — Investigators say a woman previously convicted of DUI manslaughter is facing new charges after crashing into a car dealership in Tampa.
The Florida Highway Patrol captured the crash on camera:
Investigators said an FHP sergeant clocked a speeding Hyundai going 111 miles-per-hour on the highway. The FHP sergeant came up behind the car to pull over the driver, when the car veered off the road, hit an embankment and flew into the Gator Ford car dealership.
Trooper arrested Jennifer Carvajal, 24. An unidentified 22-year-old man in her car died from their injuries.
Carvajal remains hospitalized with injuries.
WTSP reported Carvajal was previously convicted following a DUI manslaughter arrest in 2014. According to the Florida Department of Corrections, she received five years in prison in 2016, but was released in 2019.

Sadly, the wrong person died.
I see what you did there.
He was probably looking for to the little death but ended up with the big death.
Good to see a Biden sticker car turn yard dart.
As God is my witness, I thought Hyundais could fly.
Landed in the parking lot of a car dealership?
Damn. How’s that for coincidence?
Car looks pretty banged up. Don’t think she’ll get much for a trade in.
