TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — Investigators say a woman previously convicted of DUI manslaughter is facing new charges after crashing into a car dealership in Tampa.
The Florida Highway Patrol captured the crash on camera:
Investigators said an FHP sergeant clocked a speeding Hyundai going 111 miles-per-hour on the highway. The FHP sergeant came up behind the car to pull over the driver, when the car veered off the road, hit an embankment and flew into the Gator Ford car dealership.
Trooper arrested Jennifer Carvajal, 24. An unidentified 22-year-old man in her car died from their injuries.
Carvajal remains hospitalized with injuries.
WTSP reported Carvajal was previously convicted following a DUI manslaughter arrest in 2014. According to the Florida Department of Corrections, she received five years in prison in 2016, but was released in 2019.

She caught some air!
She was just putting something down on a new Ford.
You win.
Oddly apropos name.
A man died from “their” injuries, is this woke journalism?
“The New Oldsmobiles are in early this year.”
Florida MAN catches a break...!
For those of you in Rio Lindo (hat tip to El Rushbo!), she was about 17 when she had the other fatal accident.
I think I see the problem here...
She’s pretty good at this DUI thing.
If she was driving on a suspended license, she should be prosecuted for murder.
weartv.com wins the most ad-intrusive site of 2021 award. Ole Wah!
I watched the video to see if the police had clipped her a little, but he didn’t. Looked like the Hyundai might have malfunctioned, lost a strut or something, before she swerved off.
People are getting more and more crazy these days.
As a Hyundai driver myself, I can tell you they are very reliable, but no one tells you it’s a good idea to drive 100 mph in them.
More info. She was still on probation. There were 3 other people in the car.
She should be prosecuted for murder whether she was driving on a suspended license or not. Or, probably manslaughter.
Come on man, she was driving OK when the horrible racist copper pulled up on her out of the blue causing her to veer out of his way.
This car violence has got to end. Thousands are dying every year.
