The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to unveil new guidance on outdoor mask-wearing on Tuesday, ahead of a planned speech by President Joe Biden later in the day on the state of the pandemic response.
Officials said a focus in the coming weeks will be on easing guidance for vaccinated people, both in recognition of their lower risk and to provide an incentive to get shots.

I’ve seen discarded paper masks in the woods I mountain bike in. Really pisses me off.

I stopped reading when the title said outdoor mask guidance.
Just silly. For the life of me, I cannot see how intelligent people fall for this. People hundreds of feet from nowhere, wearing a mask. People driving around in cars, windows up, wearing a mask.
I bet the same mental midgets wear one to bed, in the shower, or while sitting on the couch in their living room watching TV.
the cdc’s refusal to speak up about the dangers of our feral government opening the border, inviting, and then distributing thousands of disease carrying invaders across our country during a so called “global pandemic” proves that they are not to be trusted...
...and here it comes - exactly as others here on FR (and myself) predicted. This isn't just "easing guidance," it is easing people into the notion of a caste system - those that are compliant vs those that are defiant.
The compliant will get a pat on the head and a partial, transitory treat - the restoration of some of their freedoms and liberties - to be rescinded at the whims of the elite. The "carrot" if you will.
The defiant are going to be made to increasingly feel the power of the state... Beaten down with an ever larger "stick"...

I walk my dog, a lot, getting both of us ready for hiking season. There's a young woman I meet occasionally in the neighborhood who walks her dog - wearing a mask. I literally just shake my head and smile. Idiocy, sheer, mindless "do what you're told without question" idiocy.
We apparently have raised a generation or two that lacks the ability for independent thought and reasoning.

Remember, the BLM riots drove the first surge of new cases last year, after new case growth had been steadily dropping. Viruses do not care if you are indoors or out, you will still get sick if you breathe someone’s infected air.
