Twitter blocks tweets critical of India’s prime minister Modi’s coronavirus response. I erroneously thought that social media would allow for more voices of dissent to be heard.

I think at least 60% of the country is in favor of some form of government-imposed mask mandates, social distancing, vaccine requirements, and lockdown restrictions. This means that, at most, 40% of the country essentially has the right opinion. I have not looked at any surveys to support the 60/40 split, but I assume that it must be that because there are so many Freepers who support this stuff. We still have a long road ahead of us for the delusional and misinformed to get their minds right.

India is all about the bureaucracy and our media is learning scaremongering from their media.
India had huge Covid problems over 6 months ago, but they weren’t counting all the bodies. Their media wasn’t reporting it back then, so you have to ask, why now?
Now that the US numbers are coming down rapidly, India appears to be publishing the real numbers to get our extra vaccines.
Americans should believe almost nothing that comes out of the Indian media.

seems a little high; let’s assume that 70 percent of voting age females support that crap (judging by all the posturing and preening on twitter and facebook I’d say that number is low) and about 40 percent of men...that gets it to roughly 55-45...
