from the looks of the steering wheel and windshield whoever wrecked didn’t walk away unscathed...
That was my take as well!
Fortunate enough to walk away from the accident unscathed, the keeper ...
I suspect that is just salesmans' blather.
Of course, no seatbelts or airbags when that was made.

Right-hand drive cars are inherently dangerous on American roads... And Americans on British and other left hand roads (‘limey southpaw’ Ian Fleming’s Felix Leiter) is just, if not more, dangerous. Consider the fate of Gene Schumacher of Schumacher-Levi Nine fame, driving in the Australian outback, looking for meteor craters, hit a truck while he was driving on the ‘wrong’ side’ of the road. He died. His wife seriously injured.

Been looking at that photo and wondering what happened. It’s a low car...and the main impact area seems to be below the headlights but just above the frame...about guardrail height with maybe post impact on the drivers side fender. The damage to the right rear panel may not have happened at the same time...but only accident site views would tell the real story. Strange things do happen.

A couple more pictures from the earlier post. It looks grim. A lot of rust. I wonder how rusty the frame. Wouldn’t surprise me if if the brake line rusted through causing the accident.
Be interesting to see if they restore or part out. I suspect many worse cars were parted out.

And which side the steering wheel was on had nothing to do with that crash. He was killed by an idiot named Turnipseed turning left in front of him.

They used to make great Coupes in the old days. Now many companies are out of business. From the underpowered MGB to the easily rolled TR6. I thought the spitfire had nice lines. BMW and Mercedes, they had classics.
