"Love Is Like Oxygen" is a song by the British band Sweet, co-written by the group's guitarist Andy Scott and Trevor Griffin, and released in January 1978. The song was a departure from earlier recordings by Sweet, which were more guitar-driven and featured high vocal harmonies. The extended album version of the song (6 minutes 57 seconds) appeared on their album Level Headed, incorporates strings and has some disco elements.

Great band. Great song.
Saw Sweet at the Santa Monica Civic in March of 1976. Some guy named Sammy Hagar opened the show. Who is that guy, we said. He came out and sat in the audience near the front, after his set. Great show!
That was a great year for you to see them.
You get too much you get too high,
Not enough and you’re going to die.
NICE! That would have been a great show. I still have a vinyl copy of “Desolation Boulevard”; might have to crank up the ol’ Victrola and give it a spin...
For decades I was 100% sure that this song was from 10cc.
I just KNEW it. Doesn’t it sound like some of their work?
Turns out I didn’t know it.
I always thought this was Electric Light Orchestra.
To be honest, in terms of expectations versus what I got out of it, the best concert ever.
Ha...one of my favorites of the day!
The question is did these guys wear wigs or did they really make their hair look that stupid on purpose?
Ballroom blitz too.
Ballroom blitz too.

ACDC she got some other woman as well as me
Oh, God, The Sweet are a guilty pleasure. Those compressed vocal harmonies were what put them into the same room as Queen, and that’s a heavy weight to carry. Underrated band, IMO.
