The Logan High School senior was all alone in the final stretch on the track while anchoring her relay team. The win was hers.

What she didn’t account for, however, was a late entry into the race.

A dog, after breaking away from her owners who were sitting on a hill, sprinted down onto the track and quickly claimed the race for herself in hilarious fashion.

Have you ever seen a dog throw a javelin?
—— a dog can’t even carry a javelin through the gate to get on the field.

I think most of the cheering fans were supporting the dog.

For over 30 years I often went on multi-mile runs. During that period I occasionally tried and failed to outrun my pet dogs, including some small dogs. When I was running flat out, they would look back at me to see what was holding me up. They weren’t even breathing hard. I wondered what they thought of my poor performance. Probably, “Those long legs sure don’t help him much.”

I played a football game on that field. My best friend took a gas can one night and burned the letters of our school in the end zone grass.

the worst senses of hearing and smell

..................................................

A Polar bear can smell food from 100 miles away. Not even Michael Moore nor Rosie O can do that.
