Have the wokesters finally reached a tipping point? Leftists of multiple stripes have been making public schools horrible places, and now students are bolting. In California, that's making news. According to the Associated Press: SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — California public schools have experienced a sharp decline in enrollment this year as the pandemic forced millions into online school, according to data made public Thursday. The drop came as the state’s school districts dawdled in bringing children back to the classroom, making California one of the slowest in the country to reopen schools.

Memo to the Yellow Journalists: The “pandemic” didn’t force anything on anybody! The forcing was done by (mostly) Democrat governors and mayors.
I jerked my child out of the California public schools and put her in a private school.
Her hair was repeatedly infested with lice. When I asked the school superintendent about it, she had a hard time being honest. After persistent interrogation, she admitted that the school system recommends treatment for lice only if crawling lice are seen in the child's hair but not if nits (louse eggs) are seen. Why not treat for nits? She wouldn't say, but my guess was that they'd be treating virtually all the children all the time.
My child also had a severe learning disability. It was obvious from the 1st grade. The school consistently denied it. Finally, when she began to fail the 6th grade, because she could no longer compensate, I had her tested independently. The tests indicated severe dyslexia. I put her in a very expensive private school which specialises in treating learning disabilities. She's doing much better.
I must say though that the leftist brainwashing does not seem to be as bad in California public and private schools as it is in some of the other states.

And public schools just got another $189 BILLION from the corona virus relief stimulus bill they recently passed.
Teachers unions are not about education. They’re about staying in power. Meet teacher’s demands and that’s where the money goes.
In Alabama, we spend $12000 per student per year. If parents got that amount, they could send them to the best private schools in Alabama instead of failing public schools.
In NY, they spend about $30,000 per student per year. Imagine if parents had CHOICE. I’d rather offer the parents $30,000 per year per pupil than sending them to failed indoctrination programs.
Give parents CHOICE. Libs aren’t always pro-CHOICE. They would chose safer and better private schools for their children instead of worrying about paying teacher’s union pensions and other benefits programs.

So what is causing California to be a left-wing state?
The climate, food, and water they inhale, eat, and drink?
The state of California politics I find very frustrating.
P.S. My little brother was diagnosed as dyslexic at a very young age. He is now a successful business owner.(he was born in 1974)

I hope physically sitting in a government school room becomes optional. It would be an important step in removing kids from shootings, drugs and communist propaganda.
I humbly submit that a Publik Skool degree is equivalent to BLM grafitti.
A truly caring government would consider any parent sending their chilluns to publik skoolz to be guilty of child abuse.
And, if they do not disinfect their chilluns after they have been taught by an NEA member, well, that’s the death penalty.
I would say public education has reached the tipping point where they are now more like re-education camps, and the kids are doing more unlearning than learning. Your little boy must believe they are a little girl, that white people are devils, that there is no God, and America is the worst country ever, or they just get suspended anyway.
Get your kids out of these public cesspools.

After this years bullshit in online learning at the same price as face-to-face real learning (in the Philippines in a private school), my kid is pissed with all the Google lookup work, YouTube, the “projects” and the total lack of teaching.
I’m home-schooling him “remotely” next year for grade 6
But you still have to pay property taxes for those schools. There’s your reparations for ya!
the 30K is not going for the student’s education.
It is going to the retirements of teachers, and their other benefits.

I am not trying to be critical.
I am trying to point out to others.
You left this child in government schools for SIX years while she failed and you were told that they were going to meet her needs with 504s and other programs.
None of this is ever true.
Schools have no responsibility to educate your child, and frankly, they don’t care. The lip service is about funding.
Get your children and grands out of government education now.
Start homeschools with other like minded parents.
When population in government schools drops 40 to 60 percent they can be closed.
